I currently teach Comp 1 at WITCC to students who are emerging writers. They are either attempting to pass entry level testing or looking to improve their writing skills in order to be more successful in their chosen programs. I have been a middle school teacher for many years, and have been teaching developmental classes and Comp at WIT for the last six years. I am interested in learning the features of your software that facilitate independent student learning in the areas of Grammar, Mechanics, Sentence Structure, and Paragraph and Essay Development. In learning how to use these programs myself, I feel I will be better prepared to help my students begin using them and ultimately be able to learn independent of the classroom instruction.
